PACE creates opportunities and collaborates with various colleges on the University of Oklahoma campus to offer credit courses and non-credit programs; partners with state agencies and federal government; various art and educational community groups and individuals to serve Oklahoma communities in professional development, lifelong academic learning and community education.

Professional, Academic, and Community Education (PACE) offers University students, alumni, and other individuals and groups additional opportunities to gain academic credit both online and traditionally in order to obtain their dream of earning a degree from a nationally recognized higher education institution, collaborates to offer educational programs to meet community needs and interest, training programs to educators, business and industry partners as well as the administration of grants and contracts with public, private and government agencies.

PACE content area specialists work with professionals, academic departments and agencies to provide:

  • Arts & history education through free lecture series and the annual Medieval Fair at Reeves Park
  • Health Seminar Series that provide professional development and medical education training to health professionals

  • Intersession Course opportunities for currently admitted University of Oklahoma students to gain credit hours needed for graduation

    University of Oklahoma/CCE-PACE and Norman Regional Health Systems are Co-Sponsoring a Health Seminar: Circle of Care Methodology for Risk Assessment and Prevention of Suicide to be held 8-4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Norman Regional Hospital Education Center. This seminar is of particular interest to Medical and Mental Health Professionals, Educators and School personnel, Faith Leaders, Military Health Resource Personnel, and those who have been or are impacted by the effects of suicide.   • Lean Six Sigma Fundamentals Workshop

    "Lean/Six Sigma Fundamentals" (combination of white/yellow belt) certification workshops will occur May 12-16, 2014 and Fall 2014 September 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20. For the best learning experience, OU ACCEPTS ONLY THE FIRST 50 "PAID" REGISTRATIONS on a first-come-first served basis. OU reserves the right to increase the class size if demand warrants.   • Santa Fe Experience

    Come along with us as we explore the eclectic environment of Santa Fe, New Mexico, where you will be intrigued by the history, culture and contemporary perspectives of Native American artists. We will view public and private collections and visit with select artists who personally express what has and does inspire their art, through the exhibition and sharing of an academic study of their work.
