Professional, Academic, and Community Education (PACE) offers University students additional opportunities to gain academic credit both online and traditionally in order to obtain their dream of earning a degree from a nationally recognized higher education institution, collaborates to offer educational programs to meet community needs and interest, training programs to educators, business and industry partners as well as the administration of grants and contracts with public, private and government agencies.
PACE content area specialists work with academic departments and agencies to provide:
Advanced Placement Summer Institute for middle school and high school teachers
Arts & history education through free lecture series and the annual Medieval Fair at Reeves Park
Lean Six/Sigma Fundamental training workshops
Opportunities for currently admitted University of Oklahoma students to gain credit hours needed for graduation through Intersession
Travel study programs
December Intersession is now listed under the Fall 2013 semester and is an opportunity for current OU students to earn additional credit hours needed for graduation and to meet the 15 credit hours for flat rate tuition.
The medieval fair is super cool
University of Oklahoma/CCE-PACE and Norman Regional Health Systems are Co-Sponsoring a Health Seminar: Circle of Care Methodology for Risk Assessment and Prevention of Suicide to be held 8-4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Norman Regional Hospital Education Center.
This seminar is of particular interest to Medical and Mental Health Professionals, Educators, School Administrators, counselors and teachers, Faith Leaders, Military Health Resource Personnel, and those who have been or are impacted by the effects of suicide.

Lean Six Sigma Fundamentals Workshop
OU is continuing with its initiative of certifying students on certain job skills. The next certification workshops in "Lean/Six Sigma Fundamentals" (combination of white/yellow belt) will occur May 12-16, 2014 and the Fall 2014 September 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20. For the best learning experience, OU ACCEPTS ONLY THE FIRST 50 "PAID" REGISTRATIONS on a first-come-first served basis. OU reserves the right to increase the class size if demand warrants.
